People on here used to constantly talk about Di Canio having “Northern flu.” In other words, he always seemed to catch a virus just before we travelled to a cold Northern away game.

You’d expect the numbers to be roughly the same.
Without looking at any other players I’d guess that is a massive difference and would be surprised to find another player with a bigger discrepancy

I can't be arsed to trawl for links, but he was absolutely notorious for not playing up North. People used to post up all sorts of statistics on here.

no, don't remember him ever refusing to play games. was he crap in a lot of away games? yes, but he also played well in some, in particular metz which I was at. I'm not sure why the fuck di canio was even brought up to be honest. im still waiting for the links

Arnatovic is a dick but we shouldn't be surprised.
Let's not forget that before a league game against Tottenham at WHL, Di Canio pretty much refused to play because Redknapp wouldn't let him speak to Chelsea when they made a bid.
Not forgetting that Bollocks that it was HE who turned down Man Utd because he loved West Ham so much when in reality the reason the move didn't happen was because Ferguson couldn't offload Dwight Yorke before the transfer window shut.

He'a good player. I don't agree that he was deliberately shit against anyone. Whilst I shan't be offering my daughter to him in marriage, we probably need to move on and get behind him and the team.
